Supplemental Special Education

Supplemental Special Education Support + Social Skill Instruction/Coaching (K-12)

Starting September 7th

Children in grades K-12 have the opportunity of getting small group, in person, special education for 1 hour and 1 hour of Social Skill instruction/coaching by veteran teacher and owner Mrs. Chris Burkhart. Many are attending school virtually but need or require in person support. Mrs. Burkhart will follow all CDC and local/state guidelines regarding safety measures requiring temperature checks, masks, liberal cleaning of surfaces/materials, social distancing, etc, while also acting as a resource teacher, teaching concepts that are age appropriate and/or goals on his/her IEP.

  • Minimum of 2 children – Maximum of 4 per grade group
  • Minimum of 6 week commitment or can sign up for semester (9 weeks)
  • Progress reports will be given after 6 weeks of instruction.
  • Parents will email Mrs. Chris Burkhart their child’s IEP and after reviewing the IEP, Mrs. Burkhart will set up a zoom meeting to go over duration, goals, financial agreement/payment, and progress notes.

Elementary School Age

  • 2x per week for 4 hrs total: $175/week
  • Kindergarten – 1st grade: 2 day a week
    • Monday/Wednesday 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
    • Tuesday/Thursday 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
  • 2nd – 3rd graders: Monday/Wednesday 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
  • 4th – 5th graders: Tuesday/Thursday 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM

Middle Schoolers

  • 1x per week for 1 hr
  • Cost: $45/week
  • Monday 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

High Schoolers

  • 1x per week for 1 hr
  • Cost: $45/week
  • Tuesday 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM
